    Sounds like this Dublin man chanced his arm by putting vodka in the drinks himself and trying to blame some worker at the McDonalds.
    Pay day denied.

    Unlikely that he got civil legal aid, and in the extremely unlikely event that he did, the award of the other side's costs aren't covered by a legal aid certificate. The order is against him personally.

    So the lawyers probably won't get paid, unless McDonalds pays it's own fees as an act of goodwill. There's no such thing as a state insurance fund for lawyers like there is with motor insurance. It's like any unpaid bill.

    McDonalds lawyers will get paid, by McDonalds. If they somehow manage to get any cash off yer man they would refund that to McDonalds.
