Mixer tap spout

I took the spout off the kitchen tap this evening and put the end of it and the bit that scres out of the end into oust descaler for 10 or so minutes. The inside of the tap is an orange colour now which I believe is the oxide coating after been removed. Is it safe to drink from this tap or should I replace it?
