Hi All I have been looking for the EdgeRouter X SFP but very hard to find stock online (except for UK) trying to avoid the bloody charges.

Any recommendations on suppliers? or an alternative router?

    EU Store

I've had next day delivery from the German store twice in the last few months.
They're finding it hard to keep some items in stock, but very efficient on the logistics!

    @niallb,
Out of interest what did you buy from them? Happy so far?
Im looking at UDM-P and the new 2.5G switch with APs.

Because they are sold out for a few weeks now.

Im looking at UDM-P and the new 2.5G switch with APs.

Most recently a Cloudkey2+ and a couple of Edgerouters.

If you're wondering whether I'm happy with the brand rather than the store I've also bought half a dozen cameras, a few ER-X and ER-5 routers, POE switches and a load of point to point wireless Airmax gear. I've had several generations of their APs at a couple of locations and they give very little trouble.

I had one camera fail on me and it was replaced without much hassle, but I believe the level of customer support has dropped significantly.

You won't match it at that price.

Depending on what else you want to do in future, the Dream Machine Pro is in stock at the EU store with enough ports and power to manage the tasks of the edgerouter for most people.

Ubis recent behaviour would put me off giving them any business tbh.

ive deployed wired access points in the house, and like to swap the router out from the ISP supplied one, needs to be just router dont need builtin wifi.

Edgerouter X SFP - considered that as it has POE ports

What other options in the similar place are recommended?

Be careful picking it if that's the reason.
It has a form of POE, but not using a standard such as 802.3af

The Edgerouter X can output passive 24V power which is suitable for some of ubiquiti's own devices, but won't power and could potentially damage a device expecting an industry standard POE supply.

What brand are the wireless access points you chose?

I have ubiquiti access points only the one for moment which can use injector but if can go with POE make setup cleaner.
