Oddest person you've ever met?

Went to secondary school with a lad who was diagnosed as being on the spectrum. Came out with weird questions for the teacher and among classmates.

Didn't hear from him after graduation but was casually listening to 98FM and heard him talk about why weed doesn't affect your driving. Still as mad as ever.

    Know any people like these?

I think I'm the oddest person I ever met. I can sit there on the couch enjoying the computer on a 50 inch tv and sit there without moving for 16 hours a day no problem. No matter how much alcohol I drink I cannot get drunk, My friends call me a strange weird person in a nice way but they can't get their head around how I can sit there for soo long on the computer. I may possibly be the most introvert person on the planet. If you took a photo of me at 8am in the morning and then took another photo 16 hours later they would exactly match without movement.

Individual people have different thoughts and understanding in regard to others opinions, but the problem is this... there are some people out there that will do everything in their power to cut you off when they do not like your opinion even when it is truth.

    Do you not mean introvert?

Do you ever get bed sores?

There was a fella I went to school with.
Loads of instances of him acting odd.
The last time in was home I saw him in town and he was dressed head to toe in beige.

I have to say that you probably have an unusually high level of GABA (the neurotransmitter that relaxes you) in your body.

benzos and alcohol increase GABA and allow you to 'chill' and do nothing without getting bored.

Explains why you also can't get drunk.

No never, that's another weird thing.

The way you're describing it, it sounds like you're the only person you've ever met.

Not at all. I meet a fair few people every day in the place where I am, there's always some-one there that is why they think it strange as I explained above ;) Captured in time.

If you spend too long in one spot anywhere in Dublin City you are bound to see someone doing something so odd you will not be able to comprehend there actions

There was a neighbor who was 99 and still going to the bookies and mass by himself he was a retired teacher so had years of a good pension at the funeral his wife who was well into her 90s and very with its very disappointing that he did not make it to 100 he wanted the letter from the president. Their 6 children who we met at the funeral were all retired.

I would say its rare enough though.

Just realised I miss read that as the oldest

A guy living in a mid-terrace on a council estate in Limerick City. He went out and painted the roof of his house pink so the planes coming in to land at Shannon Airport wouldn't crash in on top of him while he was in bed.

    Fcuks sake.
All he needed to do was turn off his landing light!

In a call center I worked part time in 20 years ago... there was a nice ( mostly ), older yet a quite eccentric lady, late 40’s or early 50’s I’d guess from memory....She was a hippy lady, into witchcraft and all sorts of stuff..according to her she was a witch. Not in the slang use of the term but..actually a witch...there was a business dress code but somehow she had a habit of coming to work dressed like..

    49ce4b9e514868bd78349f9c5392aaed--mature-fashion-ageless-beauty.jpg

And as strict as they were, she had a hall pass. Dress how she liked, no business dress code for V , lit joss sticks and candles which she was permitted to do as long as the window she sat beside was opened a fraction... mid January that wasn’t fun...

No harm in her but could be difficult and eccentrically dramatic if there was a point of debate and you were on the other side of the argument..good at her job though and if you were in the mood for her goings on, ‘could be’ good and amusing company.

Isn't Boards a great place where a person on the Spectrum can be equated with being 'Odd' and as being 'Mad'.

And no one bats an eyelid.
