The 'security nut ' on my wheels will not budge and the tyre fitter wont try and remove it.Wasnt budging with the breaker bar and he was afraid he would break the splines on the dedicated socket.
Anybody got any ideas before I get stranded on the side of the road.

Make/model. I had to take mine to a dealer to get one removed after a ****wit of a tyre fitter used the windy gun on mine and made ****e of it. No one would go near it other than the dealer. Was a Peugeot btw, and those security bolts are made from butter.

Splines, is it a BMW wheelnut? Wallop on a tight 12 sided socket and gun the f*cker off

With the collapsible centre and pins made of candle wax like this? They're some disease alright :( I had a 407 with them and just about got away with a knock off deltec socket set to remove them. The key had been mutilated long beforehand. The whole lot went in the bin for scrap (and eventually the car too)

McGuard I'm guessing. A 7/8 AF socket will hammer on if memory serves me. Just make sure you have a way to remove the stud after

Worth leaving it sit overnight and try it when everything is good and cold in the morning. Slightest bit of heat might be helping to tighten things up..

    Thanks.
There was an ad that came up on my google search tat said they could remove.
May give them a shout and get the 4 of them off while I can and pick up normal whee nuts.

Not sure without seeing the nut but what I did
Before was split the ring part / rotating collar of the lock nut with a hammer and metal chisel (wasn’t a fancy alloy but taped and covered it up as good as I could just in case but there was no damage) - wasn’t an Audi though.

Could be worth going to the main dealer they’ll usually have a set for the different security nuts at least for my make of car the dealer did but the nut itself was the problem in my case.

    Just to update this....
Got in touch with the lads that came up in the google search.
Met him and he heated up the nut A LOT put they 'key' onto it and eventually managed to free the two stuck ones.
He said that in his opinion to never use the air gun on those security nuts (not to mention the normal nuts).

When I've had locking wheel nuts on my cars I've always removed them prior to getting tyres fitted or getting a service and put them back on afterwards, along with loosening and re torquing all the other wheel nuts too.
