DV firewire out to USB

    I was looking for a Pinnacle 500-usb 10 or later convertor box ( no longer made) so I could download from a JVC camcorder DV out via a firewire 1394 lead to a USB socket on a Dell laptop . I did this a long time ago when I had a PC with a firewire 6 pin socket and recordered video to DVD. No laptops have a 1394 port so I need an external unit to laptop to do digital recordings. Has anyone a unit that will do this?
