Headphones for mowing

Been meaning to get ear protection for ages for my ride-on mower but then it occurred to me I could listen to some music too. Would good headphones both block the noise of the mower and allow me to listen to something, or is that too much to ask for? And any recommendations if it would work?

I use Bose Noise Cancelling for grass cutting. They work perfectly, I can hear podcasts very clearly while the mower noise gets reduced to a very low background drone.

They are wired (bought them a few years ago) but it only seems like you can buy wireless ones now. I wanted wired for use on airplanes.

They aren't cheap but they are brilliant.

I think a set of builders ear defenders are fine for the ear protection bit, but for music I'm not sure. You could feed in a set of in-ear headphones for cheaper alternative!

I have a pair of these, favourite bit of garden equipment! Radio only, but has 3.5mm socket, so could feed in music etc. I just use radio.

Best of the lot, you can just use the radio or plug in an aux cable.

I got these on special from Woodies, retailing at 60 quid, they were in the bargain bin for 20 quid just because the box was ripped.

For music i use my standard earplugs and use builders ear protection over it when i use noisy machines
