Restless nights

I started Friday off at about 5am (suprisingly early but happy to see there might be hope of structure to my sleep routine) and I was in bed last night before 10pm, slept for an hour and for some reason woke with a start and could not get back to sleep leaving me absolutely shattered now.
I dont want to spend the day tryna catch up on sleep as that has repercussions on my sleep for the next few days, I also think im overly optimistic about being able to stay awake for the day...

I'd just go for an hour or half hour nap to freshen yourself up.

It's good to live dangerously some times.

Last couple of months have no problem getting to sleep, it's just that I wake up very early and can't get back to sleep. Couple of mornings awake at 4:30am when my alarm is set for 6am.

Not sure if it's a bit of stress due to a never ending lockdown.

I am prone to restless leg syndrome at night which is pretty unpleasant.

Vitamin D and Magnesium are great for that apparently. I’m not a doctor! But my dad has it.

Worst thing you can do is worry about not being able to sleep... Let time take care of it. Avoid lying wake though; get up, potter. Fighting to stay awake just adds to it.

Don't nap or rest too much, got to bed early tonight and tomorrow night. You'll be fine on Monday. Happens to me often enough that I can't sleep, Wednesday gone I ended up just getting up and getting stuff done by 1:30 or so. Put myself back down to sleep just after 5 and work up just after 7. Was grand on Thursday but yesterday I was a mess - headache and nausea half the day, just chilled out and went to bed early. Fine today after sleeping well Thursday and Friday night.
