I always open bleed screw at caliper when changing pads. When bleeding then, i use up a litre or so of fluid through the system.
I do this at all pad changrs and never do a dedicated fluid swap but thst keeps it pretty much perfect.

Same i just clamp the brake line and when i push back pads i have that fluid into a bottle.

Then just top up after.

I never bother changing brake fluid in my cars, I'd be confident my corolla still has the same brake fluid since 93

Every two years whether they need it or not. I don't do it myself though I have a guy who does it for me.

I do it regularly, if you change it at the recommended intervals usually 2 yrs there will be a lot less chance of corrosion in the calipers.
Modern stuff is well sealed but this country has a very wet climate and brake fluid absorbs water leading to corrosion.
Any cars that I have seen with regular brake fluid changes have perfect looking calipers inside.
Neglected stuff usually has rusted and seized pistons.

Local Indy does it for €50.

Be no saving in doing it myself at that price. Main bmw dealer was only €80 when I enquired.
