Lost driving licence

I have mislaid my driver's licence - luckily I have its number. I will need to apply for a replacement but the NDLS website is looking for a Public Services card!! I have looked on the GOV ID site and they are saying I need to apply to local INTREO office for it. I thought that we didnt require that P. Services card anymore?
I'm confused. I did print out a form to bring to Garda station to declare loss of licence

Can anybody advise me on what is currently in place at the moment?

    Greatly appreciated x

You can get a basic id that doesn't require the PPS card, try applying for a basic id through the mygovid website.

To renew online with ndls you do need PPS card. If you don't have it forget about applying online and book an appointment in person.
