Hi, I’m looking to change my car and need to have 3 high back boosters in the back, currently driving a 7 seater but hoping to move away from 7 seats, any suggestions as to what cars would have 3 seats in the back as a lot seem to be 2.5 seats, budget around 15000, any help appreciated

    Superb estate is very roomy.

iirc mondeo has 3 full seats and 3 independent isofix bases as far back a 2007. i doubt it is a feature the newer ones would have lost.

For proper 3 independent seats in back, likely MPV route would best suit and will come with 7 seats anyway. Citroen picasso or Peugeot 5008 or ford c-max / galaxy or vw touran / sharan have proper independent 3 seats. Newer shape 5008 "SUV" has 3 isofix too but over budget.

Otherwise you could go for any wide saloon, will be a case of testing out with the booster seats you have to see how manageable. Mondeo as an example would be fine no doubt.

Audi a6 might be a contender too

Picasso definitely has 3 equal sized seats and Isofix in the back. But if you're buying one you're as well getting the 7 seat version just for the extra boot space even if you never use the pop-up seats.

Right pain to get 3 boosters belted up in though. You can’t beat an MPV in that respect.

I’d say for the budget you’re probably looking at mk2 Superb as well, which is no wider than a mk3 Octavia in the back.

Oh definitely, it's just a contender as they were looking for less seats.

Isn't there a few honda and Toyota with the 6 seat set up

You really need something with 3 rear individual seats which most MPVs have. Your standard saloon/hatchback or crossover won't have that.

I will be in the same situation in a couple of months time and we will need to fit 2 booster seats (base only) and then the baby car seat.

I have a Golf and she has a Polo at the moment and I know I'm probably fighting a losing battle here but I really don't like MPV's.

I know people have mentioned a Superb but are they any more roomy in the back than a Golf width-wise...like are we talking milimeters?

Anyone have any opinions on a Kodiaq? Some models have 6 seats I believe.

I have seen the Multimac system recommended in a few different places. They have a number of different options/systems and I think a few people on here have fitted them too.

If you are just looking for ideas for what cars might be suitable, take a few suggestions from the above and try to find a dealer with all those cars. Then just bring in your two or three car seats and test fit them.

Honestly, that is probably you best option since the size of the child seats vary so wildly you won't know for sure unless you test with your seats in that car

I don't find most of these SUVs that big in the back. If it were me I'd go superb but they all seem to have mega mileage secondhand.

If you have 3 baby seats they ain't going to get smaller
and they'll only have more luggage. So moving from a MPV to anything else doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Unless it's into a 7 seater suv. Why pay extra for fuel to have less space. Better looking ok.

I get not everyone can live with driving a van with windows.
