    Hi Folks

thinking of getting rid of an old patio out the back and putting in some limestone paving. Nothing to big, 30m squared roughly. Its the back of the house, some of the side and a path to the shed, nothing to hectic...I'm wondering how long and how much would labour would be, ball park...
I may just do it myself, would it be worth it...I'm good at the diy etc...and I've layed a few slabs in my years just getting older , not sure if i'd have the energy!!!!

    Thanks all

    R...

I've got 2 quotes in the last few weeks for limestone patio. Both in the region of €90 - €100 per sqm for materials and labour.

That doesn't include the price of the paving?

Yes, includes paving. For context total area is 90sqm and in galway.

    This is the DIY section....

About 30-40 euro Sqm for the paving
40-60 per tonne of hard Core
    About 40 per tonne sand
Cement about 15 euro a bag

Ted1 cement is €5 a bag trade. You have some mark up there.

    That’s very expensive. I’m putting in a patio materials 1200 and labour 900. It’s 30 sq metres.
