Why don't they make cars with some part(s) that can't be burnt out

Every time a bunch of so and so's burn a car out so that no evidence can be found to identify it, i just think that this is a waste. Surely adding one non-removable part of the car to uniquely identify it (and be non flammable) would be a no-brainer

They could fit a separate trailer containing all the documentation

I thought they could identify the car but not forensic evidence, DNA or fingerprints etc?

You often see reports of a stolen car later recovered but burnt out. A lot of the metal remains and is still identifiable as a car.

    Like a VIN plate? :)

They don't burn the car to prevent it being identified, because burning does not achieve that. They burn it to hopefully destroy any forensic evidence it might contain.

I'm fairly sure that idea is already in place!

They should make cars out of ice, so that when you set fire to them, it melts and puts the fire out.

im suprised they dont actually require car seats/trim to be made of flame retardent material......seems a no brainer really?

Not a nice job to take bodies out of a burnt out car by all accounts

Or maybe put a sprinkler system in cars.

Fu'ckers who burn out cars or any vehicle for that matter should get 10years just for that alone in prison. Not only are they destroying a vehicle they have no doubt stolen so someone else pride and joy but there are also causing environmental damage and leaving a mess as well for a council to clean up.

    Peace and long life.

They burn the car so that no evidence can be found to identify THEM, not the car.

Burn proof materials are very expensive. Most cars are never burnt out. Plastic is very cheap however. Oil companies are practically paying people to take it off their hands
