Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chainsaw Fuel Query

    Hi Folks,
Have a Stihl Chainsaw MS250 less than 2 years old. Used to cut light logs nothing bigger than 8'', not in everyday use.
Running great, no issues there but noticed lately that it's very heavy on fuel - it takes almost a gallon to cut what half gallon used to do. Fitted new plug 6 months ago, new Stihl chain 6 weeks ago, bar in good order. Using the same mix ratio from new, always Stihl 2 stroke oil etc.
Could there be some problem with the carberutor ?
    Thanks.

Try giving air filter good clean / replace. Known to be cause of saw being heavier on juice when air flow restricted to carb.

How sharp is the chain? A chain can be dulled in seconds if it hits dirt or something that’s not wood.
A dull chain will cause a lot more throttle usage and fuel usage than a sharp chain plus a lot more wear and tear generally on bar and sprocket and chain.
