    Hello

When I signed my lease in June 2019 it was with an individual landlord and we paid a 6 week deposit as part of the lease.

The individual landlord subsequently defaulted and the apartment was then controlled by the bank. The apartment was subsequently sold to a fund.

My question is, I am thinking of moving home soon and was wondering if I would be entitled to the return of my deposit and if so do I seek it from the original landlord or from the current owner?

    Regards

Current owner. The same lease will have continued. I presume you have a copy/ proof of deposit paid. Hopefully they will honour the agreement without any difficulty.

Thanks for the reply - yes the deposit amount is stated in the lease and I have bank records to show this amount being transferred and email correspondence acknowledging receipt.
