United Ireland Football team...how good?

    I'm not trying to rile anyone or be facetious btw.
    How good would an all Ireland soccer team be in the FIFA rankings.
    The Rep. are 27th and NI are around 50th.
    The Rep. Are on a steep downward trajectory atm.
    I would guess given time that we'd be in the top 20.

    At this moment in time the team would be nothing special.

    I expect it would require the same level of reform at grass roots and youth level to be successful that football in the Republic requires irrespective of whether we join with the North or not.

    Imagine how good a united Europe team would be? Or a united Northern Hemisphere team.

    In fact, why stop there? A United World team would be the best in the world! And we'd be a part of it!
