Patio really bad.

I am looking at a neglected patio with lots of weeds and moss coming up between the paving. Looking online, some recommend weedkiller, some vinegar and others say salt. I have sacks of rock salt already from icy weather.

What is the best way of dealing with this? If the crevasses are cleaned out, then roundup applied or salt maybe, then filled with fresh mortar, would that do the job? Will add photos later.

    Thanks

Pour biological washing powder on it leave for 3 days and hose it off. Clean between crevices and brush silica sand into them

Does that set hard or is it just a loose filler material. The owner of the house likes to have her patio power washed and would this wash it out?

Tried the salt here and no joy , big dock leaves are still growing again.
