Are there any restrictions to setting up new accounts using current credit cards?

Massive con ubereats. They stick a serious percentage on top of restaurant prices then they have the gall to charge a wacking great commission on top. As an example I order from a local japanese restaurant approx €63 over the phone and pickup. Via ubereats its approx €95 for the same food. Complete con job.

I don't use it either. But €15 off is a bargain to someone.

Yeah fair enough. Although I believe they have a track record with these type of offers so caveat emptor.

Clearly to early for me, I thought the bargain alert was for urbeats, earphones.
I should have gone to Specsavers.

Yeh, I'm not impressed with Ubereats. They email me 30% off offers, but when I try to use it, it says not available.
This is after you've gone through the process of asking family what they want, everybody choosing, adding it to basket. So everyone is geared up to anticipate food, hungry, and you're all ready to order. Happened a couple of times.
Turns out on the small print that the offer is restricted to first 1000 orders. Bit of a con

Used this code a couple of days ago but ended up being charged the full amount. To be fair they say they have refunded me the 15 euros but would put me off using them again. Service was good though.

Ubereats not accepting the code for me.

I thought that type of behaviour was illegal? i.e. companies have to display the full price at the start. I think I remember Ryanair had to make changes to their website to comply a few years back.

What do you mean by full price at the start? Most websites won't show e.g. the delivery charge until the last step.

You're confusing the situation. The same food ordered from the restaurant itself is cheaper than ordering it from Uber eats. That isn't illegal.

Does this work for collection or just delivery?

Delivery only. After you input the code it makes it looks like it's worked but you need to apply it again for it to take the money off, kinda shady the way it works I thought.

My last experience with a €15 off was that ordering a burger meal with Wow Burger, after the Uber prices (higher than Wow themselves), delivery fee and tip, worked out about €2 cheaper I think than collecting myself. Happy to do that, and indeed, happy to pay extra for delivery if that's what I feel like. But the hike on the original prices is not very transparent. Sure they may as well add another 10% again and say "free delivery"! Or take the price add-ons off and say €12 delivery - and no-one would order!

Code doesn't work for me on a never used account.

You'd need a code just to make uber eats worth it. Especially with the liekw of wow burger, they're like 20% more expensive than ordering from wow burger or in store. Then they got you with a service fee too.

They'll die off eventually like Marvin did.

Everything is correct apart from the dying down part.
Uber eats globally has twice the revenue if justeat. They will evolve.

Slightly unrelated to OP but thought it might be useful to some. KFC are doing a tenner off orders of €15+ through UberEats. First time orders only though.

Have to say. I used this for McDonalds a few weeks ago. Apart from the €3.99 delivery, all prices are the same as on site. Delivery was very quick. So you get €11.01 off collection prices.

    Just used this now: BRINGITINMAY

Get €15 off your first Uber Eats order once you spend €15 on food items.

1000 uses only, max one per account. Code not unique to Ireland.

Scheduled an order as I figure the code will be used up soon.

It would be my first uber eats order. I have never ordered anything off it before.
