TQ VIEW 'Each-Way': 4.45 Lingfield: VIA SERENDIPITY (e/w) - As Charlie says in his quote, if you can forgive his horse's flat run last time at Kempton then he looks a deent price. Prior to that he ran well to be second over the course and distance and before that was third in a Listed contest at Kempton. The ratings suggest Khuzaam and Mums Tipple are the ones to beat, but Charlie's horse is rated only 4lbs inferior to them, so with a small 2 month break looks worth having an e/w interest in.

Via ran flat last time out but had been on the go for a very long time and looked like he needed a break. Since then, he has had 3 weeks in a paddock and a clear run into this race. If you can forgive that run then he looks massively over priced on the form of his previous 2 races where he gave a stone to Beckett’s horse and was beaten a neck by Varian’s horse.

Tony NAP: Palavecino 16.15 Lingfield Brian Meehan's five-year-old has a couple of lengths to find with Bangkok on course form here last December. He's a thoroughly reliable performer and could give us a decent run at a double-figure price.

Palavecino is a thoroughly genuine and reliable performer who fully deserves his chance at this level. He wasn't too far behind Bangkok in the Quebec Stakes here before Christmas and that horse has since been to Riyadh where he disappointed in the Saudi Cup. I think we have a real shot at taking our revenge and Martin Dwyer knows him so well, he'll bring out the best in him.

Winner here this Winter in a much lower grade but under today's rider. No chance last time from wide draw when caught wide the whole way round. Again berthed in the car park and will need luck in-running but may well outrun his odds.

He ran well last start when beaten by a progressive horse of Archie Watsons to finish second. He has come out of this race well and is in good form at home. This looks a good option for him with the one to beat on paper looking to be Margaret Dumont of Hugo Palmer’s. Richard Kingscote takes the ride.

I have a feeling today could be a very good day's racing.

2.15 Newcastle, Broctune Red.Even money roughly. I've backed it to win and in a double.

    Few more lined up

2.25 Chelmsford, Mostaqqer. Can't see it being in the first 3. Laying @ around 3.5 not to be placed.

2.35 Newcastle, Indie Angel. Around 10/11. Too short and I can't see it winning. Strong lay bet.

3.25 Newcastle, Megallan. Around 10/11. Backed it to win and in the double with Broctune Red.

    Good luck to anyone betting.
