International pension options

Hi all, just looking for a bit of advice

I'm in my late twenties, living in the UK for a few years now, and considering moving to the EU in the next year or two. I'm trying to figure out what I should do in terms of pension plan for the future. I never made any private pension payments when I worked in Ireland. The last few years I've been using a UK based pension through my employer.

If I move to the EU, what becomes of my UK pensions? If I eventually want to retire back to Ireland, how do I go about making the most appropriate pension plans?

Are there any options for saving towards retirement that aren't reliant on being resident in one particular country?

I'm very new to this world and I'm just trying to figure it all out, so any advice ye could offer is very welcome! :o
