Hi my passenger side window regulator needs replacing and I'm going to be selling my car soon is there any point in getting It fixed, I would normally do it myself but I'm flat out in work . I will knock off the price of a window regulator when selling .

If I was buying a car and seen one fault I would start looking at what else is wrong. That's just me. Also depends on what price the car is. A 20-30k car with a fault or a 2-5k car is a big difference.

Don't expect anything from life, just be grateful to be alive.

If trading in, it wont matter.
On a private sale, it Kinda depends if its a cheap or expensive car.
Id imagine its a vw group car?

    Yes.

It's an easy enough job and cost maybe a hundred quid for parts.

A buyer will spot it straight away and knock hundreds more off the price. Sure if something as simple as a window doesn't work, then what else doesnt work.

Buyer will want more discount off the price than the job would've cost you for someone to fix it.

I know as I said I normally do most jobs on my car myself but I'm flat out in work and not pushed on spending money on getting it fixed. I wont be knocking hundreds off it for just a window regulator not working . I'm happy enough they wont find anything else wrong with it , as they say they are more then welcome to bring there mechanic friend with them

If the car or price is special then fair enough but anyone else would just move on if you're not giving a few hundred off IMO.

Well it has a cost to put it right and when including labour it adds up specially if its an expensive model of car.

To you and me it's a small sub 100euro job for an afternoon. For a potential buyer it's parts plus 4 hours labour in a garage.

Im in the same boat. Have a 300 euro repair on a 2k car. Without the repair it's a 500 euro car.

    I win...I've a €150 repair on a hopeful €500 car!
