I scarified lawn last year and am looking to aerate this year. Few questions:

    1) should I scarify or aerate first
    2) when is the best time to do this
    3) is overseeding necessary after? Any recommendations where to get seeds?

    1) Scarify then aerate that way when you do scarify you are not blowing or raking the thatch back in the your aerated holes.

    2) Do it now.

    3) Is it required, well, it depends on how much you remove from lawn during scarification, if you go hard at it you'll remove a lot of healthy grass, which means you should really throw down some seed to help the regrowth.
