Hi.
Just a quick question. Can more than one person apply for a herd my on the same land? My father is leaving a small plot of land (roughly 6 acres) to myself and siblings and I was wondering if more than one can get the herd number on the same price of land. Thanks in advance.

Firstly you need a separate entrance to the 6 acres that's not the same as your Dad's, a cattle crush and some sort of building to house an animal if it's sick. I think more than one person can apply for a herd number but one of them must be registered as the "herd keeper" who is responsible for the welfare of the livestock.

Hi. Does anyone know the requirements for getting a flock number? Do I just need a pen on the land or is a sheep crush and shed required?
