My caddy’s front tyres have started to eat the very inside threads off the tyres about 40mm off the inside.
My question is is this a tracking issue or worn control arms or ball joints. There is a bad enough rattle that can be heard while driving the van on rough roads but when the van is in the air on the lift I cannot find any play anywhere so I’m confused!Any tips??

Tyre wear could be down to a number of reasons, could be struts, tie rods inner/outer, ball joints, top mounts. Have you done the test with grabbing the wheel at 3 and 9 o clock and checking for excessive play? And also at 12 and 6? Its possible that you couldn't find play with the vehicle in the air because the suspension is not under load, try to get underneath with a pry bar while car is on the ground or jack up the suspension by the control arm while its in the air and recheck for play in ball joints etc. Also this may be a simple thing to overlook, but have you checked for correct tyre pressure ?
