Evening all! I was just wondering if anyone knew if it would be possible to get the records/reports from an inquest into a death that occurred in the 1940s? If so, where would I go to find them?

While not available to us at the moment the National Archives might be the place to go.

I got quite a detailed file on an inquest into a death that occurred in the 1960's.

Any idea if Coroner's reports are available anywhere?

Thanks all. Found a brief mention of it in a local newspaper, but would be good to see the inquest/coroners report. Will try the National Archives!
