    Hi

If I run a cable directly from my router to computer I get 140mbs consistently.

I have a TP-LINK TL-SG1024D Network Switch and cat 6 cable throughout the house.

If I run my computer from wall outlet which is connected to the switch I'm only getting around 80mbs consistently.

Why such a drop in speed through the switch?

Are you talking about Internet speeds? Check the cable connecting from router to switch.

Have a look here and troubleshoot
