Legacy to Signature package ref F1 Help

Turned on 406/F1 channel the other day only to find it had been turned off. Don't have sports pack but was always able to get the F1 as had it back from the days of having HD and from what I believe was a Legacy package. Roll fwd 2018/19 and when I upgraded to the SkyQ was told no worries you can keep it as is. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem, I am not sure if Sky are allowed change and will contact comreg but not sure how much use this will be

So called Sky and got speaking to a lady who wasn't have a very good day and she went through every scenario trying to fob me off and get me off the line (over an hour)It went from you never had that channel, too ok I will get tech to turn it back on but will take a couple of hours, then shouting to tell me I was not correct etc etc:rolleyes: when I asked repeatedly to speak to her manager she said he couldn't come to the phone and when I asked for his name she said she could not give it to me because of GDPR. In the end she opened up a complaint ticket and told me 10days.

Called back to day and got speaking to an Irish lad (must try ringing during the day as I presume after hours goes elsewhere) Gave them the ticket number and after a lot of back and forth they turned it back on but only for 3months with the offer of half price for the next 3months after that and then full price there after which I cannot see me doing as I dont watch anything else on the sports channel. The bottom line is we had the F1 form a legacy package but have recently been automatically ( no say in it and no notification ) upgraded to the signature package which means I would have to take out a sports package to keep watching F1

My in-laws changed to the signature package, I rang for them to try and get a better price and that's what they offered. They were very clear that, while it would be cheaper, they would lose the F1 channel.

I'd be surprised if they switched you with no notice, there must have been some confirmation to you (over the phone/via email/etc).

Also, big shout out for the mild racism against Indian people...

Will have to double check if option was given, see there was a piece in the IT. Regarding the rolly eyes, they could have been any nationality, this was more to do with they weren't listening or is that a crime to point out now.

And yet you chose to point out where they were from.

Ive edited the OPs post to remove the (presumed by the OP) nationality of the person concerned and we might continue this thread as if it had never been mentioned in the first place.

Well, well, well. So it's fine to mention one nationality (Irish lad) but not another? Just looking for clarification of this point for future reference.

There may be circumstances where it is appropriate or not depending on the context. I don’t agree that the OP should have brought it into his post at all and I consider that his post could have been more appropriately worded.

OP, I am closing this thread. What I suggest you do is consider posting another post, in which you leave behind any feelings (for whatever reason) you might have towards individual staff at Sky - any of them - and perhaps concentrate on the issue of the legacy F1 entitlement being removed, which I think is something that you might feel duly aggrieved about. If you do not feel you can do that without talking about the individual call centre staff you encountered, don’t post on this topic and take a warning instead
