Short answer is it varies, how fast you drive, how far apart the rows are, and how worn the bottom plate is. Ballpark for grass seed is 6, and 1 bag of fertiliser to the acre is about 18. You need to overlap fertiliser so that the outside prills just land on the previous wheeltrack, approx 7 metres. Grease is every time you use it, wash the bottom out with water, then a kettle of hot water, and a small bit of burnt oil when you finish using it.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
