Honestly wouldn't go near lenovo directly. I've a phone ordered and it was shipped on Monday and they now have no idea where the item is - it's not with ups and lenovo are not able to tell me where it is.

Their customer service is absolutely woeful too where the agents just don't care where the item is and there is zero escalation point.

Sorry for crashing the thread but thought it best to give the warning to people.

Interesting. That's exactly the opposite of my experience with Motorola.

I am on my third upgrade (first was the venerable Moto E) and had no issues with tracking or delivery once the details entered are correct. Devices arrived within two working days of the order.

Had to contact customer service twice, and it was good. The local company that provides service, was just below adequate though.

For what it's worth I had same experience. UPS were the listed couriers but in actual fact my package was handled by DPD who I think they bought. Prob is you are given UPS tracking number but they deliver to a DPD depot. DPD can't tell you where your order is as it has a UPS tracking number and UPS can't tell you because it is with DPD. It's an absolute joke!!!!!

I've dealt with Lenovo twice for in warranty repairs DHL were the courier on both occasions, and one order from them directly though don't recall who delivered that. They were pretty easy and straight forward to deal with I thought, certainly when it came to the repairs , they were quicker than most to respond to emails.

Previous experience is that their tracking and notification system from order through delivery is absolutely not fit for purpose

But ive never ordered anything from them and not gotten it, and usually at the predicted time

DPD have nothing to do with UPS.

Ya you are right. Trawled through my emails and it was Nightline. In terms of user experience and as I said "for what it's worth" not really relevant. What is relevant for someone potentially purchasing is the customer service and that's what I have recent knowledge of.

Googled the model of the phone and updates, the first link says it's not getting past Android 10 (android is already on 11) for a phone that started off at over 400e that is a piss take. Post says you'll get security updates more then likely will only be until the end of this year then you'll be dead in the water (hacks) two OS updates behind and no security updates being applied.

Still good enough for the wife. She's using an iPhone 4s!

Stay as far away from Lenovo as you can.
    Just check trustpilot.
Worst experience I have ever had with a company.

I bought 2 things direct from Lenovo. First order was fine but most recent one not going too well.

I ordered an item on 19/02 and it was posted on 22/02. I got a dispatch email on 22/02 with some sort of tracking number that wasn't really a tracking number, the email said further down that I would be emailed the real tracking number a day or so later. A month went by and my item still wasn't delivered. When I emailed them looking for the tracking number they said they'd email it to me straight away. A few days went by and still nothing so I rang them. I eventually got the tracking number from a guy over the phone.

It looks like my package originated in the UK and it's just sitting in a UPS depot in Preston nearly 5 weeks after being posted. Will probably get hit with VAT now as well. I paid in euro, bought from lenovo.ie and my invoice had an address in Shannon, Co. Clare on it. There was nothing to make me believe my item was originating from outside the EU when I made my purchase. I'll pay the VAT if UPS come looking for it but I probably wouldn't purchase directly from Lenovo again. I bought another Lenovo product a few days ago from Amazon UK. The order was great, no messing around.
