This is quite handy, we are looking at moving house and its good for punching in an eircode and checking a connection thats available.

My question is how accurate do you think it is. Some houses its says 1000mbs is available, but others its says max speed is 80mbs...buy 100mbs package..etc. do you think that the line is likely around 80mbs or is it just a wild guess and you could be looking at 10mbs in reality ?

I'm on Vodafone, my address checker says I could get speeds up to 43mbps & from my phone I'm getting 12, so I doubt you'll get the max speed

It's a guess based upon line length. My parents house is listed as 70mb D 20mb U by the airwire checker. Their line syncs at between 45-49mb D and 10-19mb U. That's the absolute max they'll get with the line they have no matter the provider.

Universally available FTTH can't come soon enough.

Interesting . That one says VDSL Broadband
    (up to 100 Mbit/s)
Available at maximum 90M/20M and it has a picture of a little green cabinet. You think that is saying based on this houses distance from a cabinet we know u can be connected to you can get max 90mbs?
