Small size sheep wire

Hi all, looking for a animal wire to put on an existing fence and cant seem to find what I need, I see the kinda fence on the side of new roads but cant seem to find online, basically I have a laurel hedge growing close to a regular sheep wire fence and the sheep are peeking through the sheep wire and eating at the hedge so I want to put another smaller wire on the outside of the fence, I currently have the green mesh on the inside but unfortunatly with sheep when there is a will there is a way as when I think I have te battle won then I loose another plant.

Think it’s called lambsafe

You can get stuff for foals,with v.small squares but is expensive as hell

This is what I use to keep sheep/rabbits back from White thorns, I put it along the sheep side of the sheep wire.
I tie it to the sheep wire with cable ties

Do rabbits go mad for whitethorn?

I was going to put in a bit of a hedge, but I hadnt though about rabbits. And we have a lot of them... :mad:

Plus one on the chicken wire there, will do the job and cheap, theres a plastic version of it to you can get thats very durable, and I think it would probably hold up to sheep a bit better, think its called netlon

Straw, put it in under the hedge they don't like to walk on it.

Not sure on rabbits, but a lad out the road from me lost near 300 yards of whitethorn to hares, they ate it up as far as they could reach standing on there back legs, I doubt rabbits would be much different

Thanks for all the replies, horse fence is what I thought I wanted but at 187 for 50metre chicken wire might do the job

The one thats been put up at the side if motorways is called badger wire to keep wildlife off the roads. Expensive though about €150 for 50 metres. Looks good though.
