Dog Walkers & off leash dogs

I've seen a few posts online of dog walking businesses in my area with 4-8 dogs off leash. All of the locations I've seen I recognise, they tend to be either beaches/dunes or woods.
The thing is alot of these locations are not spots where I would personally chose to let my own dog off leash. You dont have a clear line of sight in all directions so a person thats afraid of dogs or an eejit with a narky off leash dog could be just around a corner etc. My dog has reasonable recall to me but obviously a dog walker isn't goin to have this recall with 6 dogs all at once so is there something I'm missing that means its not as chancey a senario as I think it is?
I've seen one dog walker actually put up a post looking for a dog she lost and in fairness it was lost on massively open tidal flats!

Not to mention there is nothing as bad as a gang of dogs whose i intentions you do not know, charging over at your on lead dog! Especially when the dog walker shouts at you from a distance about them being friendly! Happens far too often

    Exactly!
I'll be nice and say maybe someone doing that with just their own dog might be innocent and not realise that whatever about their dog being friendly, they have no idea if the other dog is either friendly or downright dangerous with a crappy owner.
A 'professional' dog walker on the other hand has no such excuse, a person or dog getting ganged up on might freak out and it could lead to a dangerous situation very fast.
If my dog goes over a sand dune I'm after her pronto just incase there is something to be wary of but with 7 dogs running around the place it just strikes me as chaos and an accident waiting to happen.

On occasion when I've heard that and the dog clearly isn't, I have replied with "well mines not" (even though generally she is) or "yeah well mine will ruin your dog" it might sound harsh but I'll save that one for the exceptionally negligent owners just in the hope it might save their dog in the future.
