    Hi Guys

Im very worried. I got my credit report and I had a bad debt which I paid in full in 2018. The removal date on my report is Aug 2023.

Will I be completely refused a mortgage until this date?

Given you have paid off the debt in full I expect several banks would consider you eligible for a mortgage based on your more recent circumstances (current income /. Savings etc) , but it will probably be a bit more hassle than is normally the case - best to have a closing statement for the loan handy when applying.

Also worth checking your Central Credit Register profile (central credit register.ie) - banks are increasingly using this instead of the ICB

We're in a similar situation, did you hear anything back yet? Thanks!
