    Hi all,
simple question (i hope) we recently got the attic converted and but the wifi doesn't travel through the floors to the new room. Our son is in there and we want to put his xbox up there. Is there an extender or something that I can buy that will allow this? Im on Virgin media and use their Horizon 3.0 router.
    Thanks

Get a power liner adapter. They come in pairs, you plug the router into one and the put the other in the attic.

Depending on the model, you can then plug ethernet in and/or connect via wifi.

More expensive but very reliable. Create a mesh network to extend your range.

Not trying to hijack the thread but I have a similar problem.

I got a Virgin Media Powerline adapter last year for a different house. Never really used it. Now in the new house, working in the attic and the wifi is terrible. I tried the powerline but it says there is an issue with the ip address. Does this mean its knackered or is there a fix?
