Seat Leon estate 2021

Hi there folks. Has anyone got the new Leon Estate that could provide me with some info on how it's going.

Was all set after Christmas to buy a new estate car and then lockdown ensued. The plan to go test drive a load of cars went out the window and now every few weeks I get the itch and spend hours looking at YouTube reviews and pricing out options.

The Leon is standing out to me over the Octavia Combi as it seems like it would be more fun to drive. It looks better too. Just interested to hear if anybody has one and how they are getting on with it.

I have an A4 Avant S Line from 2010 which is a fantastic drive but it's time to switch up and the kids can't fit behind me anymore. I'm going to go for something new this time. Never bought new before so there's that part of the experience I want to try out. I'm aware of the other options but I'm interested in feedback on Leon in particular as there's lots written on the others.

    Thanks

Haven't seen the estate but the new Leon is a really good looking car. I think the new Octavia is soul destroyingly dull.
Do seat still do an xperience version of the Leon estate, their version of the Octavia scout?
Can't see the Leon estate being any bigger than your Audi if the kids sitting behind you in comfort is an issue.
    Good luck with your choice.

"and the kids can't fit behind me anymore. I'm going to go for something new this time. "

New Leon getting decent reviews for rear legroom but doubt it'll better your current car.

I'd have the Leon over the Octavia any day.

Zu car are doing new 2020 Leon estates for around €20,000

Might not look as good as the newest model but it’s significantly cheaper price wise

Cool, the FR would be the trim I was looking at and the same engine. I guess the first thing I'll look for, and the frustrating thing about not being able to go to a showroom, is the legroom in the back with the driver seat fully back. A measure of that would be great.
Tbh I'm very much leaning towards it over the Octavia. It looks alot better visually and reviews saying it's more enjoyable to drive. What did you move to it from?
Did you go for any optional extras and if so which would you recommend?
Did you try multiple Seat dealers?

Thanks for the help in advance

Budgetwise looking for PCP deal and making up the 30% between trading in and cash. Then keep repayments to 400 region

One thing you definitely need on the FR is the larger infotainment screen.

Hey OP, I don't want to be one of those people who comes in and recommends their BMW M5, when someone has asked about buying a Mini, but thought I'd have a relevant recommendation if you are not decided on brand, and that is a Kia Ceed.

I have a 202 Ceed estate in 1.6 diesel form. They are only selling hybrids now, but the spec has increased since I got mine, which was already a high enough spec when it comes to extras. I've had two Ceed's before this, but find the legroom in this even better and the boot space has increased significantly as well. I'm 6" 2', with my teenager regularly sitting behind me and never have had legroom issues.

Anyhow, I may be biased, but it it gives a good spec for price, looks good and has a very good warranty. You may have looked at it already and dismissed it, in which case I'll happily move on :D.

Oh, and if you’ve an iPhone that supports it, the wireless charger thing. Android Auto requires the phone to be plugged in anyway, but CarPlay can go wirelessly.

Take a look on seatcupra.net for some reviews on it.
I’d have the seat close to fully back and I can still fit behind the drivers seat with some room.

The leon and the octavia are both on the lwb mqb platform.

    Came from a mk3 fr 1.5 manual

Picked a good few! Musts for me would be the electric tailgate, the bigger screen and the wrap around lighting.

Also got the drive xl pack, alarm, park assist, wireless charger.

Only one I regret not getting is heated seats :pac:

Factory ordered it having not seen one in the flesh. Mine came before the dealer even had there demo. First drive in one was just before I signed for it.

Have a good relationship with my local seat dealer!

I'm sure you can get heated seats retro fitted handy enough.
