New Holland t5 lift problem

The lift is gone a bit finicky in my tractor. If there was no weight on it, and it was fully up it wouldn’t lower. I oiled it all well, which did help a lot but it still needs a push to get it going. It’s like it’s catching on the right hand arm somewhere, looking from the back.
Also, when there is a trailer on and I go to unhitch, it won’t lift it the final bit to take the pressure off the lever for dropping the hitch. I have to use the button on the mudguard and then it’ll lift it almost to the top, but you have to press it again to lift it that final bit to take the pressure off.
I tightened the two nuts a bit that raises/lowers the hitch so it’s not that.
    Any suggestions much appreciated

You hardly have the soft ride button turned on in the cab for the rear arms

Didn’t know there was even such a button tbh. I’ll check it out. Thanks

Hardly rust behind seal on assister rams?

I’ve put on enough oil and wd40(which does seem to help) to fill a bath with. I think it’s something mechanical though as it seems to only be catching one side on way down.
I also forgot to mention I power wash it regularly are worried I might have done something to some wire connections

There rust can build behind the "cork guide/seal" near top of ram on inside, that can cause this

An easy enough fix, though bit of sledging involved in removing said ram though.....you'll know, yourself, if centre can be removed easily once ram is off

Had similar issue on different make. Lift buttons work one day not next. Mudguard ones work another day but cab wouldn't. Turned out a hose feeding brake coupler at rear was wedged against lift sensor directly over back axle. Tied it off and now perfect. Find out where lift sensor is. Check nothing is rubbing off it. No harm to plug it out clean and check all wires are ok anyway.

A possibility. At the back end there is a lift adjustment knob that you can adjust that will allow the lift to go a bit higher or lower. Going higher will release the pressure that is required to release the hitch. It is located to the back right over the axle, or close to it and looks like a silver coke bottle lid
