Ronseal Ultimate Decking Oil

    Hi all. Has anybody used this successfully?! I have been using Ronseal Decking Oil on my decking every second year for about 15 years with no problems, however I used this ultimate decking oil last May (2 coats) and by August it looked like it had washed off. I did exactly what it said in the tin. I complained and in fairness they sent me a credit note for 2 more runs and decking cleaner so I did the job again in September and by November the decking looks truly horrific, looks again like it has just washed off. They told me that the ‘Ultimate’ is water based but the standard is oil based. Trouble is it looks like the standard one has now been completely replaced by the Ultimate in most stores.
