Will being divided up

    Hi all,

I'm just wondering if anyone on here has any experience with inheritance and executing a will?

My father is in his mid 60's and him and his brother were left the family lands/house. The land was divided up quite evenly, my father was given most of the farm land as he has farmed it for the past 30 years and his brother was given some road side sites for his children and the family home.

The issue is my grandfather died 4 years ago and nothing has been signed over as of yet. My uncle seems to be dragging his heels and my father never pushes him on it. They're both on friendly terms but the problem is my father has built a new shed that was needed which cost 40k, he can't write any of that off and has also bought machinery for the farm but again because he technically doesn't own the farm yet he can't claim anything.

Does anyone know if there is a time limit or what might be taking so long, is it possible to still claim back even though shed was built 2 years ago?
