AMIKO A4 Combo - EPG not populating for FTA channels

    Anyone have this box? I'm having problems getting the EPG to autopopulate with the FTA channels only - Saorview channels are fine. I have gone into the preinstalled Crossepg App and tried all different settings - i.e. download EPG at a certain time of the day, or else download when the box is in standby. Nothing seems to work - also this only started happening when the latest firmware version 1.0.42 was installed - it was ok previous to this.

    Is there another free app that can be installed to overcom this? Sky astra2_ 28.4 is the epg that I need to install daily - at the minute I am downloading it manually each evening, which takes about 5 mins to complete.:o

    If this box uses a recent version of OpenATV then Cross epg is no longer required. Instead install EPGRefresh and set up a service that zaps to the Sky EPG channel.

    Thanks for the reply - is there any way that I can find out what version of openatv is on the box - there is a tab that says openTV within the crossepg app but I suppose this isn’t the same thing? Is there a way of installing the EPGRefresh plugin onto this box so I can use that

    The AMIKO A4 Combo is an Android only box as far as I know. I have one somewhere abandoned. I got an AMIKO A5 Combo instead and to be honest it's not much better. It can however be run in Enigma2 mode and that's what I have done.
    I have always found Crossepg on Akiko's to be a bit "iffy".

    I don't have this box, so can't help further. It might be better to ask on the Linuxsat Support forum, it appears that you're not the only one who's had a problem.
