Speech issues after braces

Hi, I had braces for around 2 & half years. I got them off 2018, I also had composite bonding done on top & bottom a few weeks after braces came off.
Since I got the braces off I have noticed my jaw seems tighter, This then slightly affects speech mostly with S sounds.
I wear my retainer every night or every second night. ( Speech seems better with top retainer in ) but after a few hours my teeth feel like they are moving.
I have gone back to my ortho on 2 occasions questioning why I now have this issue. He doesn't think it was from braces.
I also asked could I have a fixed retainer fitted and he said doesn't think it will fix my issue.
I have noticed on 2 occasions the issue went away temporarily, this was when I had wisdom teeth removed & when I got a new removable retainer, after a week or so the problem came back.
Just wondering if anybody else ever had similar issues to this?
My ortho was completely against a fixed retainer saying it cause more problems than solving them but I think its worth a shot! Cheers
