What would be a rough estimate?

Depends how heavy you spread it and also if you gave the land a rub of a chain harrow after spreading the FYM

Id say once grass has out grown it? So grass being 6-10 inches?

once grass is long enough to graze but don't graze it to tight for a few rotations

Was concerned as didn't get a chance to graze it down short before getting the dung out. And feared the dung would smother the grass coming up. It's quite light coating though so hopefully it'll come back fast.

Would 3 weeks after spreading be safe enough?

Did the grass grow much in the last 3 weeks?Could they eat the grass rather than the FYM?

Depends on the animal too, sheep and cattle graze totally different to each other. Sheep nibble down whereas cattle tear up mouthfuls of grass.

With so little rain in the last three weeks it would hardly be washed in or any growth unless it was very watery stuff.

Walk the field is the only way to tell.

There's a man in galway that I see spreading dung after each rotation, though it a bit chancey.
But he says it works for him.
Now he wouldn't spread it heavy but seems to get a good response and a massive amount of mushrooms.

Walked it there, it'll need more time alright in one field. Other fields OK to graze, I'd say.
