    Hi,

We have a double radiator in our living room, which needs to be moved.

Is it a big job for a plumber to move the rad approx. 3 metres along the wall or potentially replace it with a vertically mounted radiator in the new position?

    Any idea of rough cost?

Pipes come up through floor or out of plasterboarded concrete/partition wall?

Not much difference what rad goes in new position re piping, but vertical rad will be pricey obviously compared to moving existing.

Pipes coming out of wall. Standard 3 bed semi, wall is where we connect to neighbour

Less than €300 probably. With some patching of wall required afterwards.

I imagine it’s plasterboard then with plastic pipes behind in the void. 3m along same wall, I think would be a case of extending the pipes from current rads location, and burying them in the wall. So cut a channel all along above skirting to new location, fix new rad, plaster channel over new piping, and paint. Certainly doable, just a bit messy, as long the above is the case and no obstacles.
