    Hi,

Old thread but did you manage to figure out what this was. I had the exact same issue before but it went away and is now back with a vengeance. Would love to find a solution. For context mine is a 2016 c350e saloon.

    Thanks

Moved out from old thread https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2058041731

Is "AirMatic Visit Workshop" indicator on?

No the visit worshop light is not on. When I unlock the car and start the engine the wake up procedure seems to release all the air in the system. If I remove the airmatic fuse and and reinsert it the pump reactivates and pumps suspension up. If I then remove the fuse the suspension stays up. It has now been up for 3 months in the condition. The ride is of course rough now because the suspension is no adjusting and as such is locked out. So the compressor is working. I'm wondering if it is a defective prv on the compressor or perhaps the control unit or a solenoid sticking open.

    Quick update:

    Situation,
Car would release all air from suspension on start up or very soon into journey.

    No leak

    No wiring issues

    No DTC's

    Valve block working

    Compressor working

    Car stuck in raised position

    Solution:
Dismantled the compressor and cleaned it, dried dessicant, checked all seals and ports were open, checked Prv (scan tool said this was fine), prv rusted shut and not actuation. Cleaned as best I could wd40 first then compressed air and left to dry in the sun.
    Reassembled and all working.

Just for anyone with similar symptoms. Will eventually replace the compressor but for now it's a free fix.

I always seem to worry that faults like this are going to be a complex electronic issue. The reality usually is that its good old fashioned mechanical problem. Nice work sorting it!
