Looking at automatic push button start cars 2013/2014/2015 for the mother. Yaris or similar size. Nearly all in budget appear to be imports.

Most that fit the bill are standard enough even if they are imports - Note, Vitz, Swift, March.

But the Honda Fit/Jazz and Toyota Aqua/Prius C are hybrid models, don't believe equivalent exist over here? Any issues with parts etc if repairs needed?

The Honda Jazz is the European equivalent of the Honda Fit, and the Prius C is the European equivalent of the Aqua. You’ll have no problem getting parts

Insurance quotes on jap imports have always been higher for me. Check that out for your mum before committing

I don’t think they sold the Prius C in Europe?

Neighbour just got an Aqua, they look interesting.

How do you know about parts. Just curious.

Most concerned about gearbox and battery

Prius C/Aqua should be same as Prius, ma7ve6
    ..

But not sure about Fit - Jazz wasn't sold here as hybrid.

Sorry your probably right, I mean its the ‘non Japanese’ equivalent, I know they sold it in Singapore and Australia as the Prius C

They seem a nice little car, I have one on the way from Japan

These cars are being imported by the boat load and taxi drivers have been driving Jap Prius’s for years now so I really can’t see parts being an issue or else the taxi drivers wouldn’t be buying them. I know the Prius C differs to the regular Prius but you get my jist

Theres plenty of Toyota/Honda specialists out there that source parts from Japan

Jazz was/is sold as hybrid in Europe and Ireland

Don’t think the older model was sold here as a hybrid.
