I recently removed the porch at the front of my house. It has left a lot of staining and remanents of adhesive etc. on the front of my house.

House is 1980s style redbrick facade so can't really scrape it off and paint over it.

Is there a DIY solution or do I need a professional?

I assume when you say adhesive you mean Mortar from when the Porch was added.

You can clean this off by getting a bottle of Brick Cleaner and follow the instructions. Make sure to wear Gloves and Eye protection as it's and acid.
How it works is by breaking down the Cement in the Mortar and dissolving it away.
Brush it on liberally and keep repeating every few minutes to try and soak it into the Mortar.

It will work but may take a few go's to get it all done.

just make sure there is no Children or pets around as it burns the skin.
