Things that glamorous women do to stay Young

You know the sort of woman that takes great pride in her appearance and thinks that the odd glass of wine is good for her? That's the sort I'm talking about. My aunt is one of these sorts, and the other day she was talking about how she could never go jogging because the wind would age her face! Is there even any truth to that? And yes, she's overweight.

These kinds also seem to think that the skin in nourished from the outside in and not the inside out! This belief allows them extra hobbies!

I'm still surprised at how many of these sorts still believe in de-toxes. It angers me that they go about talking about their myth to others as if it's true. They're never going to say "oh btw I only read about that in some silly magazine" Should I tell them about how this is incorrect, or should just take the view that it's a relatively harmless bit of fun, and just let them do it.

You will just have to let them off with it OP unless you have an army and a well organised Stasi. I feel your pain*

I find it strange how that a person can take great pride in their appearance but have no issue in being overweight which is more noticeable than anything.

Just start trolling her on social media.

It seems to be a very common trend though. It's as if contouring and kitten heels will someone negate a BMI of 50 :D

I know someone who does Botox on a regular basis and shes only early thirties. My question is, where does it go from there? How much Botox will she need to keep her face together in twenty years?

I harvest adrenochrome to keep me looking young and bury the corpses under the new National Children’s Hospital.

You'll be in big trouble when the media find out in 150 years.

Frankly find this a bit ageist.

Whats wrong with older people, male or female, wanting to look better or feel better.

Pretty fuppin arrogant and petty to think that they shouldnt.

'to stay young' is completely your projection, no-one is out there saying they they are doing things to stay young.

You misunderstand me. There's nothing wrong with it at all. What I'm getting at is the sort of person who is gullible and misinformed in what they believe will keep them looking young.

There's entire industries built up around it. How often do we see ads for products and they start listing off chemicals (or worse, madey upy chemicals) that "sound" impressive but literally could be anything carcinogenic, but people are all "oh that sounds sciencey so it must be good". Remember the "here comes the science" in those stupid L'Oréal adds. I'm looking at a box of formula here in my kitchen that boasts about "pro futura". Never in my four years of studying chemistry did I come across this magical ingredient :D

For me the best thing you can do to look young as a male or female is stay slim, anything else is just f*cking around.

Yes - but again you are projecting.

What sort of person is gullible and misinformed? Do you think people really believe a moisturiser or botox will keep them looking young?

Its a big old strawman dressed up to have a laugh and sneer at older people.

And dress age appropriately. In my opinion nothing ages a man or woman more than dressing like a teenager.

I don't mean dowdy, but more not being a fashion victim.

Things I do to slow down the passage of time.

    Drink homemade bone broth.
    Supplement with collagen.
Semen retention for 2 or 3 months at a time.
Consume offal such as liver and kidneys.
Consume shellfish such as oysters, mussels and scallops.
Minimise consumption of grains and nuts.
Consume fats such as real butter, coconut oil, olive oil and avocados.
Sleep in a position which avoids forming bags under my eyes.
    Moisturise daily.
Make sure I don't get sunburnt.
    Daily cold shower.
High protein diet, including plenty of eggs and red meat such as fillet steak.
    Lots of herbs and spices.
    Meditation.
    Lift weights.
    Jog occasionally.
You can't just drop this in and not explain it....I genuinely do not know what this means.

I think you're projecting that I'm projecting. You also projected to begin with with when you tried to imply that I was bashing old people for trying to stay healthy.

Then why are they doing it so? Why are such products advertised with sayings like "appear visably younger"
    Tombo2001 wrote: »

The sort that I described in my OP. My aunt perhaps, for thinking that the wind will age her face.

    Why else would it sell?

I think "homemade bone broth" is a euphemism. Which explains point 3.

It means ball pain, frothy urination and a jittery mental “state”.

There's a lot of dispute about whether eggs are healthy or not.

According to the theory of relativity, and backed up by countless experiments since then, the only thing you can do to slow down the passage of time (as measured by an observer) is to travel at speed. The closer you get to the speed of light, the slower it goes. The more massive you are, the more energy it takes to increase your speed.

So it stands to reason that if you want to appear almost ageless, you should attempt to attain the mass and speed of a neutrino.

    One should always age gracefully.

A few years ago my ex partners mum who was late 50s felt her hair was thinning. Somewhere online she read that garlic water (basically you boil up garlic cloves and keep the water) stimulates hair growth. She would wash her hair with this garlic water once a week and the smell off her and in the house was atrocious. Needless to say it made not one shred of difference.

Yoga is another one that all these glam ladies love, followed by coffee and cakes with the girls

That said, subcutaneous facial fat does give a more youthful appearance, because wrinkles, sagging, etc., are less obvious. So overweight people can look more youthful. That's why it's often said that people of a certain age have to choose between saving their figure or saving their face.

I wouldn't think so, unless you're jogging in Chernobyl.

This mightn't be completely relevant to you're question.

I remember a good video I saw against the arguments of the above but I forget what it was.

  • Not fill their bodies with **** greasy foods, a moderate level of daily exercise and some hobbies they enjoy.

I've heard speed helps you lose weight too...

    Live fast, die young?
