Speed Checks - Dual carriageway - Increase in Accidents?

    Has there been any recent Road traffic accidents from Summer Hill roundabout to first Collooney roundabout, anywhere along the dual carriageway?

    I ask as I've seen a huge increase in garda speed checks in the last 2 weeks - Both Marked & unmarked cars at various locations every day.
    Not seen the speed van long the collooney/ballisadare spot for a good while - use to be there at least once a week. Seems to be all Garda doing the checking now.

    the speed vans new spot is temple street and pearse road cause both of those are accident hot spots:rolleyes:

    They've been at Cahenys pub and the red cottage b&b on the Bundoran Rd a lot lately too.

    Havent noticed an increase recently, but Traffic Corps been regularly parked on carraroe sliproads (both sides, but more often southbound) and Ballina sliproad North Bound for years.
