As an EU citizen, do I need to spend 365 consecutive days in Ireland before the application date for citizenship by naturalisaton.
Or that only applies to non Eu citizens.

    Thanks

It applies to EU citizens too.

It's not 365 consecutive days in the state, it's 365 days of "continuous residence". You are allowed to leave for short holidays or for short work assignments, though it simplifies matters a great deal if you haven't.

I could be wrong, but having gone through the process relatively recently, I dont think they distinguish between EU or non-EU. They do allow for reasonable absences of about 6 weeks in the year.
