I've just bought a 07 caddy and the central locking isn't working. The fob light is flashing when I press the buttons. I've checked fuse 49 and it seems sound.
The switch on the drivers door does not operate the locks for the rest of the van and I can't seem to be able to lock the sliding door.
Opening and locking the drivers door with the key does not appear to operate the central locking either. Is there a common issue with this, or where should I start looking?

Loom between the pillar & drivers door is first place I'd be going.

Is it a common fault area?

One of them, door lock switches being another. Pull back the boot on the loom. You might see broken wires, thw wires get brittle with age & they've a lot of movement done in 14 years.

The loom in the drivers door looks solid. All controls from the door are working aside from the central locking. The electric window control for the passenger side doesn't work but it works from the passenger door.

The sensor for the door lock is also working on the drivers door - the van know's when it's open or not
The sensor for the passenger door is working as the interior lighting is working when it's opened.

Neither the sliding door nor the larger rear door operates the interior lights, but if you open the small rear door then you get an interior light activated.

I did find that the sensor was disconnected in the large rear door and I reconnected it.

The immobiliser light also does not flash in the drivers door

Spoke with the previous owner, they said it needs a cls module

Does anyone know where it's located under the dashboard?
