    Hey,

I'm currently in the market for an upgrade to my Galaxy S10. Previously on contract with Vodafone, moved to 48 approx 5 months ago and happy to maintain that.

But I'd like a new device to play with :D

    Requirements for me are:
    • Good performing camera (daytime)
    • As close as possible to a clean Android OS (I didn't find One UI too intrusive to be fair)
    • 5G not needed
    • Good IP rating would be helpful as I spend a lot of time outdoors - albeit the phone would be in a protective cover or support.

I've had a look at the OnePlus 8T but not sure what else in my price range might be suitable? Hoping you guys can advise!

    Pixel 5

not the 8 series cpu but runs smooth, ip 68, great camera, cleanest version of android around with the earliest access to latest version and longest update support.

I moved from a Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S to a Samsung S20 FE.

I went for the 5G version, as it has the Snapdragon chipset. Got it on contract with Three for €329.

120Hz screen is amazing (though limited to 1080P in this mode), with FHD+ being possible at 60Hz.

Fantastic battery as well, quick to charge, double speaker set up either side of the phone, 6GB ram and 128GB of storage as standard. Very happy with my purchase.

It's IP68 rated, and One UI just updated to ver 3.0 for me yesterday. Samsung are promising 3 years of updates as well (i believe i read this somewhere.)

I've been comparing the Pixel 5 to the OP8T. Looks to be an argument for premium features (IP rating on the Pixel) vs processing power with the 8T (Snapdragon 865).

I'm not quite sure what I really value more at the moment. I'd imagine the Pixel is quite snappy and responsive anyway.

would be yes - would not be unsmooth in operation

only the OP8T Pro has a recommended camera really
